504 Program

Lynda Kohler (formerly Frost Bank) partnered with Helena Hauk, 5th Gear Consulting on a business expansion taking the client from leasing to purchasing their own building.

Lynda enjoys partnering with Helena because of her experience and hands on approach to helping the customer. Helena is very professional in the client meetings and is able to take a very complicated process, the 504 program, and make it easy for the customer to understand.

Environmental Inspection on Land Purchase

In December, 2010, CREW member Shelley Morkovsky of King & Sommer, LP was representing a private university, which had purchased a tract of land in the San Antonio medical center area. During the due diligence phase, the client asked Shelley for a recommendation for someone to perform environmental and other inspection work on the land and buildings.

Shelley contacted Lené Griego of Terracon, whom she knew through her participation on the CREW Programs Committee. After discussing her client's needs with Lené she determined that Terracon was the perfect match for her client. She was able to tell her client that they could count on Lené, through her interactions with her on the committee she knew her to be responsive and responsible. Shelley's client hired Terracon to perform all of the environmental, structural and other inspections in connection with the real estate transaction.

Shelley and her clients were very satisfied with the service provided by Lené Griego and Terracon. Today, Shelley looks forward to opportunities to refer clients to Lené and her firm.

Commercial Refinance

In January 2011, CREW member Lynda Kohler of Frost Bank was working with a commercial real estate owner to refinance an existing commercial building. As a part of that process it was necessary for her client to obtain a new Title Policy.

As many clients do, they turned to Lynda for direction; she referred them over to fellow CREW Member Carolyn Johnson Fletcher of Trinity Title Company. Lynda had not previously worked with Trinity Title, but due to the relationship she had developed with Carolyn through their work together on various committees of CREW, she was confident that Carolyn and her firm would do a great job.
